Grand Marshal
We are pleased to announce that Kay Struffolino has been chosen as the Grand Marshal for the 2019 Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade. Kay is a long term resident of Cary (40+ years) and a very active volunteer in our community. Though she has been retired for nearly 20 years, Kay likes to keep busy through her volunteer efforts. She is well known for volunteering with the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources department. She served a number of terms on the PRCR Advisory Board, the parks & greenways and is currently volunteering as the town’s park inspector. Additionally, Kay serves on the Friends of Page-Walker Board and is an active volunteer at Koka Booth Amphitheater events. She has been honored as the Hometown Spirit Award Winner (2010), Town of Cary Cultural Arts Volunteer of the Year (2006), the Herb Young Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Volunteer of the Year (2001) and the Rayburn “Rip” Jackson North Carolina Citizen-Board volunteer of the Year (2008).
