Members, you are getting some great deals this summer! We are kicking off Fun in the Sun (great places to have our meeting time, being very light on the meeting part). On Tuesday, 7/12 we will go to Knight's Play, in Apex, at 7:00 to hit some balls at the driving range. We will then head over to Rudino's in Apex for some pizza. Free for members. You are also welcome to bring a guest or family members. RSVP to Joni or Adrian.
I know that everyone was looking forward to learning some new bartending skills this coming Friday. However, the event is going to be delayed until a future date. My grandmother had a stroke earlier this week and I will be spending more time in Wilmington to support my parents during this time. I will send out further correspondence when the event can be rescheduled.
We are headed over to Durham for a Bulls on Friday June 3rd at 7:00. They will be playing the Pawtucket Red Socks. There will be fireworks after the game. I have two tickets left. If you would like to come let me know. Diane Upshaw
Thanks, Diane, for inviting Kristen Rosselli from the City of Raleigh Community Services Department for our monthly speaker engagement! Kristen has a large job and small staff, which sounds very familiar.... We were able to ask so many questions about the tornado destruction, and needs of the community, about volunteering, and also some great ways to get our organization well known in the community. Anyone is welcome to these community and individual development evenings. Come on out and bring someone along!
This Saturday, the 21st we will be at Jordan Lake camping. You are welcome to come and enjoy the campfire, stay the night, or join in on a campsite breakfast...or, of course all of the above. Since this is an individual development project, we will be learning all about the outdoors, so come to share and absorb some knowledge. Please contact me if you are planning on coming so I can give you directions to the campsite.
